🌿 Visiting
What are your opening hours?
We're open daily from 8:00 AM until dusk (approximately 7:30 PM in summer, 5:30 PM in winter). The visitor center is open 9 AM – 5 PM. Last trail entry is one hour before dusk.
Is there an admission fee?
Admission is free for members. Non-members: $10 for adults, $5 for children (3–17), under 3 free. We offer discounted family passes and annual memberships.
Are dogs allowed on trails?
Yes, leashed dogs are welcome on all trails. Please clean up after your pet and keep them on a 6-foot leash. Service animals are always welcome.
Is the garden accessible for strollers/wheelchairs?
Many of our main trails (Fern Canyon, Prairie Loop) are accessible with packed gravel or boardwalk surfaces. The visitor center and wetland boardwalk are fully wheelchair accessible. You can borrow a wheelchair at the visitor center with ID.

How do I register for a workshop?
You can register online through our events page or at the visitor center. Most programs require advance registration as space is limited. Members receive a 20% discount.
Do you host private events like weddings?
Absolutely! We offer several beautiful venues including the Garden Pavilion and the Woodland Meadow. Please contact us for rental information and availability.
Are there programs for children?
Yes! We offer weekly Nature Tots (ages 2–5), Junior Naturalist clubs (6–12), and seasonal camps. Check our events calendar for upcoming dates.

What are the benefits of membership?
Members enjoy free daily admission, discounts on workshops and in the gift shop, early registration for events, a quarterly newsletter, and invitations to members-only previews. Plus you support our conservation work!
How do I become a volunteer?
We'd love your help! Volunteers assist with trail maintenance, visitor education, gardening, and office tasks. Fill out our volunteer interest form and we'll invite you to an orientation.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes, Botanical Garden is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. You'll receive a receipt via email.
📸 Photography & Policies
Can I take photos for personal use?
Personal photography (including smartphones and small cameras) is welcome. For professional/portrait sessions, tripods, or drones, you need a permit. Please contact us for details.
Are there picnic areas?
Yes! We have two picnic groves with tables and benches – one near the visitor center and one at the Prairie Loop trailhead. Alcohol and grills are not permitted.
What happens if it rains?
We're open rain or shine! Trails may be muddy – wear appropriate footwear. In case of severe weather (lightning, high winds), we may close trails for safety. Check our weather policy or call ahead.
