About This Event

Start your weekend with the soothing sounds of nature. Our Morning Bird Walk is a gentle, guided exploration through Candler Woods, one of the garden's most diverse habitats. Led by experienced naturalist Dr. Sarah Chen, this walk is perfect for both beginners and experienced birders.

We'll explore old-growth forest trails, listening for calls and spotting migratory and resident species. Binoculars are provided, but feel free to bring your own. The walk covers approximately 1.5 miles of easy terrain with frequent stops for observation and discussion.

  • Identify 15-20 bird species including warblers, woodpeckers, and raptors
  • Learn to recognize birds by their calls and songs

  • Photography tips for capturing birds in the wild
  • Complimentary field guide and checklist
